What are your qualifications?
I have over 25 years of experience writing copy that consistently boosts sales and generates record-breaking response rates up to 10 times the industry average. I also have over 15 years of experience managing creative projects, including positions as Copy Director, Creative Director, Marketing Communications Manager and Advertising Project Manager.
In addition to my writing experience, I hold a Masters Degree from Harvard University, where I studied writing and psychology; and Im a graduate of Merrimack Colleges Direct Marketing Certificate Program.

Ive written extensively for the consumer and business-to-business markets for a wide range of direct response media. Ive also written copy for image advertising, magazine articles, public relations and corporate communications.

What do you mean when you say you offer creative direction?
In addition to over 25 years of writing experience, I have extensive management experience, having served as a Copy Director, Creative Director, Marketing Communications Manager and as a freelance Advertising Project Manager. This means I can really help lighten your workload.
For example, Id be happy to take full creative responsibility for a catalog or for a direct mail package, including the writing and the design. Over the past seven years, Ive collaborated with a talented direct marketing designer with over 15 years of experience. That means you get the benefit of over 40 years of combined creative experience in the direct response industry. In other words, you get results!
Heres how my creative services work: First, Ill give you a bid that specifies the cost for the entire completed project, including the copy and the design. Once you approve the bid, Ill come up with a review schedule that works within your timeline and company structure. Depending upon the scope of the project, this schedule often includes initial comps so you can approve the creative direction, plus three review cycles. Once you sign off on the final creative, Ill deliver the printer ready files to you at the agreed upon date (or sooner).

What if I just want copy without creative services?
Of course, Im always happy to work with your in-house designers or to simply deliver my copy as a Word file to you. Its up to you how little or how much of your project youd like me to take on. Im here to help make your job easier any way I can, whether that means writing one block of product copy or writing and overseeing the concept and design for an entire catalog.

How do you price your services?
The best way to determine the cost of a project is to call me and discuss the project. Once I have a solid concept of the scope, Ill quickly give you a clear straightforward bid in writing.
